- The CMPL Private Label Awards has been created to recognize and celebrate the most outstanding examples of brand innovation, as well as the dynamism of Retailers, D2C Brands, and Manufacturers.
- Scheduled to take place on 5th May 2023, the CMPL Private Label Awards will be the highlight of the concluding evening of the CMPL Expo, hosted at The Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.
Eligibility criteria:
- The Awards for Contract Manufacturers are categorized into three groups based on the turnover of the respective category nominated: i) Turnover not more than Rs. 5 crores ii) Turnover not more than Rs. 50 crores iii) Turnover Rs. 150 crores and above.
- Manufacturers who are a part of CMPL Expo, will only be eligible to submit the nomination entry.
- Retailers and D2C Brands can submit their nominations in their respective group eligibility.
- A Chartered Accountant’s Certificate on their letter head in support of the figures furnished needs to be submitted along with the nomination.
- The product needs to be launched in the last 12 months to be eligible for entry.
- The product needs to be contract manufactured.
- The product should be available currently - Offline or Online.

Process & Schedule
- To qualify for entry, the nomination forms for the CMPL Awards must be completed and submitted.
- The assessment period for entries is from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.
- The CMPL Awards Ceremony, a grand event, will be held on May 5, 2023, at The Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.
- The 2023 CMPL event will feature an exciting showcase of products from trend-setting, innovative, and impactful D2C Brands and Retailers.
- The shortlisted nominated products will receive an exclusive area within the CMPL Expo Show Floor to showcase their innovation at the premier FMCG supplier sourcing event in the industry.
- These products can range from new innovations to best-selling products in leading FMCG categories, including finished products, services, ingredients, packaging types, and anything that can help a Brand or Retailer grow their own brand business. The Excellence Product Showcase will serve as a comprehensive guide to new inspiration, highlighting the growth story of the Brand/Retailer with extensive media coverage.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- When you enter The CMPL Private Label Awards you confirm as part of the entry process to agree to all the terms and conditions outlined below.
- All companies that enter these Awards will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and be bound by them, as well as by further instructions set out by the organiser.
- The Awards are open to all FMCG retailers, D2C Brands and manufacturers of food, non-food products. However, the products must be sold and available within India.
- Entries from Retailers/ D2C Brands are not valid unless the name of the producer(s) is / are listed on the entry form.
- Entries from Manufacturers are not valid unless the name of the retailer/ brand owner in which the said product appears is also provided. Please note that if said product appears in more than one retailer, the applicant must provide a separate entry for each listing.
- PLEASE NOTE: All entries will be also considered for inclusion in four overall cross-category awards: Innovative Product of The Year, Packaging Excellence Award and Sustainable Product of the Year. Please note that these categories are not open for entries.
- Entries must be submitted by 23rd April 2023. No late entries will be accepted.
- Entry forms must state the name of the individual, job title, and company responsible for submitting the entry. All further correspondence regarding the Awards will be conducted with said individual.
- Supporting material (images, text) provided with entries may be used for marketing purposes by CMPL Expo-Connect LLP, without prior notice to entrants.
- It is a condition of entry that all applicants will be bound by these rules. The organiser’s decision on all matters relating to this is final and legally binding.
- Award categories and titles are subject to change without notice.
- Submitting an entry form does not guarantee nomination. Nominees will be shortlisted on the basis of performance data as supplied in the entry form.
- The final evaluation will be done by a grand jury, which comprises industry experts, analysts and observers, based on what they see in your entry form and hence nominations should be filed carefully with all required information in the forms – as specified.
- The Jurors deliberate on all presentations and give their verdict on the number of awardees (winners/ runners up etc.) in each of the categories.
- All information in the entry form is mandatory. If any information is not provided, it will directly impact the overall ranking and rating by the Jury.
- All nominees specifically agree that by participating in these awards, they are confirming that they will use:
- The authorized and complete description of the award as mentioned in any public communication related to these awards.
- Specific template of the CMPL Awards logo & trophy provided by the CMPL Team.
- Entries with factually incorrect or misleading information may be deemed invalid.
- All nominees specifically confirm that the information they submit is accurate and true, and that it may be used for internal research & Industry insights unless otherwise specified.
- Jury and the organizers have the right to decide on the final categories to be awarded, renaming the titles, clubbing the categories and moving nominations to a category other than the category originally filed in – wherever required.
- Minimum 3 valid nominations are required per category; else the category may be dropped without notice. However, nominations received in such categories may be considered for Excellence/ Special Jury Awards, if not moved to the next closest category.
